One of my Favorites- Bulgar Burger Recipe

One of my Favorites-  Bulgar Burger Recipe



One of my most favorite recipes that I like to have on hand is a Bulgar Wheat Burger recipe.

This can be used for: Pocket Breads, Spaghetti, Lasagna, Taco's, Chili Beans, Burger Patties, Meat Balls or anything that you would use a meat burger for. Supplement the burger meat for this Bulgr Wheat. The above pictures is what the finished product looks like...

 RECIPE:

Place in a blender the following:

1 cup Pecans or Walnuts

1 small Onion

1/4 Cup Non GMO Tamari

2 Garlic cloves

1/2 Tsp. Cumin powder

Dash of Basil flakes

Fill the rest of the blender up with about 4 1/2 cups of water and BLEND and set aside.


In a non stick fry pan place about 2 1/2 cups of Bulgar Wheat.

Then Pour the ingredients of the blender over the top of the Bulgar Wheat and start heating it and take a spatula and scrape up the bottom and mix it in to the liquid.

Keep stirring it and the Bulgar wheat will soak up the liquid and you will eventually have a burger type consistency.  

Keep in the Fridge and use it as you wish. I know this will become a regular in your diet.

For Veggie Burgers do the following:

Add to about 2 Cups of the Bulgar burger the following:

1 cup dried (Soaked Garbanzo's) blended in 1 1/2 cups of water
 1 cup Whole Oats
1 Tsp. Cumin powder
1 med size Onion- Chopped fine
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
2 TB. Tamari
1 tsp. Basil flakes
 Let it set in the bowl for about 10 minutes and then form the burger patties.
Fry in a non stick fry pan or bake in the oven at 350' for 15 minutes on each side
