Before we left Elfrida, we took on a very difficult task of re-tiling our guest house. But we used the same old tile and had to scrape each tile.... What a job that was!! Furniture on the porches and laying down the new board and then the tile.... John says; "Never again!!"
After much work in Elfrida, AZ this winter, we were happy to take a break and head back to our place here at 3 Valley Gap. It's taking me a while to get used to the weather, for we left John's beautiful roses and strawberries and much potential of grapes and fruit on the trees starting to grow.
Blossoms on the little fruit trees
Roses on the front porch
These roses are my "Well Springs of Joy" that the Lord gave me in the midst of trial.... here's one of my favorite quotes that John and I have put to memory. Such encouragement!!
"And all the way up the steep road leading to eternal life are well-springs of joy to refresh the weary. Those who walk in wisdom’s ways are, even in tribulation, exceeding joyful; for He whom their soul loveth, walks, invisible, beside them. At each upward step they discern more distinctly the touch of His hand; at every step brighter gleamings of glory from the Unseen fall upon their path; and their songs of praise, reaching ever a higher note, ascend to join the songs of angels before the throne." Home here @ 3 Valley..... the Lilies are just starting to come up... Not blooming like this yet, but this is their potential....
On our way home we stopped to see our youngest son Mark and his wife Michelle and our little Ocean guy... this time he finally let me take him for a walk and wasn't frowning at me every time I looked at him... LOL
Some pictures of him as we enjoyed our time together with him and the kids. It was too short... And... John helped them tile ( did I say TILE) a room while we were there.... Never say Never... LOL
And on our walk last evening I spotted the beautiful Periwinkles that are starting in.... Just love them! You can press them in-between telephone books. Then use them for many craft projects.... Use fingernail polish and place a dolip on the top of your stationery and place a little flower on it. Also have a friend who put them on cupcakes... Made them look so delicate.... They are edible. Does this start an idea for you..... let me know what you would use them for.....
Well, until next time, I'll say good-by.....Hopefully it won't take as long for me to post the next one.
